Finally, I just heard that the new spinoff of Sons of Anarchy, titled Mayans MC will be premiering this June on the FX Channel! They rented a substantial amount of Bruce Gray sculptures for the set of show, but they ended doing a lot of reshooting, so I don't know if my stuff made the cut. I was on set for a day of filming and took some great photos which I will share after the show airs. They even interviewed me about my contribution which may be featured on the show or who knows where.
I just got this photograph of my motorcycle sculpture at The Haas Moto Museum and Sculpture Gallery in Dallas, Texas. They acquired it as part of their permanent collection. Grand opening coming this May. I'm really excited about this!
I just said goodbye to three of my sculptures headed to Dallas. These happen to be some of the best works of my career, and it's a bit like sending off a kid of to college, I would imagine. For my Texan friends, watch for my motorcycle sculpture to be featured at The Haas Moto Museum in Dallas as part of their permanent collection. Grand opening this May. End of crate photos, I promise.
At the same time I was getting the crappy news at the hospital about my cancer, I also got a phone call from a museum in Texas about being interested in my motorcycle sculpture. A couple of people flew in to check it out, and have now purchased my motorcycle sculpture for The Haas Moto Museum and Sculpture Gallery in Dallas! This is like my most excellent gig ever, and I couldn't be more thrilled. To top it off he also bought my Big Cheese #3, and my Tricycle sculptures for his home.
My friend Scott pointed this out to me. The Grog Shop was using my photo without asking my permission. They ended up paying me for the use.
