Sculptor Bruce Gray Distresses Costume For Movie Parallel Worlds: A New Rock Music Experience
Watch for some of my sculptures in the upcoming movie "Parallel Worlds: A New Rock Music Experience." This is the first time I have been asked to make a brand new jumpsuit look like it was grunged up from working as a metal sculptor. I used a lot of metal dust, rust, and really dirty grease wiped off some old disk grinders. This photo is of me with actor Shawn Reaves and the distressed jumpsuit.

Sculptor Bruce Gray filmed for Ventureriffic on MTV
I was interviewed Friday for the new upcoming show Ventureriffic about art for MTV. They filmed me talking about my art and of course some welding and sparky plasma cutting shots. All very cool people, but they WAY downplayed the amount of people and gear they brought to shoot me, and I was very concerned about bothering any of my neighbors. Of course being MTV, there was also a bit of college age humor which I wasn't really feeling, and did not expect. (yeah you're thinking frat boy humor would be an improvement in my case.) Anyway, I'll post a link when it comes out this fall.

Paper Plane Sculptures in Welded Aluminum
I'm putting one of my planes on a plane to Norway. I recently got a commission for one of my 12 inch long Paper Plane sculptures in welded aluminum. I made two, so I would have an extra one in the studio. Want to take it home¿ $350 plus shipping. I have also made giant 4 foot long versions of the paper planes, and was commissioned to make 5 of them for Little Rock National Airport, and 6 of them for Edwards Air Force Base.

Serpentine Fire Sculpture
I just finished this new abstract sculpture today. It's called "Serpentine Fire" and is (66x24x24). It is constructed of two rolled spiral sections of 1/4" steel and stainless steel plate. The shiny stainless steel piece was given a disk ground finish, and the steel piece and base were treated to have a rusty patina to give it contrast. This sculpture is currently available. Come see this and lots more next weekend at The Brewery Artwalk in downtown LA, April 25st and 26nd from 11- 6pm both days.

Triumphant Table in Stainless Steel
This is my Triumphant table in stainless steel. I just delivered it yesterday, and the clients were thrilled. It was a very heavy awkward piece to build and move around by myself. The grinding was also a challenge. The sides were done with one long continuous grinder sweep repeatedly done from end to end.
